Pleiku Mentor in Tech (Pleiku MiT) is a mentoring program for Pleikuan, focusing on early career stage, mentor by Pleikuan techies with >2 years of experience.
Project Details
Objective of the Project: To mentor Pleiku youths who want to break into tech, and provide them a better sense of understanding about the industry
Plan:
Will be conducted remotely
Mentees will have access to workshops hosted by mentors or guests
Mentors will work with mentees to create a project of their choosing within 2 months
Format: 1-1 mentorship program

Target audience: Attitude, Skills, Knowledge
a) Mentors:
Vietnamese preferred (language barrier)
People from Gia Lai preferred (mutual support)
Senior uni student, working professionals
Background: svien nam 3/ nam 4 có internship, có nhiều exp, có thể ra trương
Friendly, approachable, willing to help people
Minimum 1-2 hours/week to help mentee for 2 months
b) Mentees:
Age: 16-22
Indigenous, women, and queer people are encouraged to apply
Moderate to good English, have some idea about the Tech industry
Programming requires reading documentations and tutorial extensively, not a lot of things are documented in Vietnamese
Willing to learn, have free time to engage in self-learning Must commit to finishing the program (8 weeks)
